Cosmetic Tattooing

Q: Are there any restrictions to getting tattooed?
A: Yes, all of our restrictions can be found on our policies page, here.

Q: I have a big event soon, when should I schedule my tattoo appointment?
A: 4 weeks after your 6-8 weeks touch up is when you are fully healed. We recommend coming in 3 months before your event.

Q: Do you supply everything needed to make sure my tattoo heals great?
A: Yes, all sessions include an aftercare kit to ensure you have everything you need to get you great healed results! Be mindful, compliance of aftercare instructions is crucial to achieving good healed results.

Q: I dye my hair often, how will you match my brows?
A: When choosing pigments, we mainly focus on your skin tone to determine pigment color, so the color of your hair at the time of your appointment won't greatly affect your results.

Q: How often should I expect to come in for touch-ups/ How long does it last?
A: After your initial appointment, you will return within 6-12 weeks for a Perfecting Session. After that session, you can expect to return, on average, every 18 months. Ideally, we do not want to go back into your skin sooner than 12 months.

Q: How will I know I'm ready for a Refresher Appointment?
A: We want your tattoo to be faded at least 40% before we enter your skin again. This will ensure your skin has made room for more pigment and eliminated the risk of oversaturation.

Q: Why do you gift a touch-up appointment?
A: Because we want to see you again! We want to ensure proper healing and have the opportunity to tweak anything if necessary. Doing so allows us to guarantee you are happy with the services provided, as well!

Q: Is it painful?
A: Everyone's pain tolerance is different, so we can't guarantee you won't feel anything during your session. Slight discomfort can be expected but our artists always strive for client comfort. Don't ever be afraid to voice any uncomfiness during your appointment!

Q: What's the difference between Microblading and Powder Brows?
A: Microblading is a technique that involves a small, hand-held tool with an array of needles, which cuts or slices into the skin to create a hair-like stroke pattern. In contrast, Powder Brows is a much gentler method that utilizes a specialized tattoo machine to lightly puncture the skin, gradually building up pigment in a clean and even manner.

At Inkvictus, we have chosen not to offer microblading because we have our clients' best interests at heart. We believe that microblading may not achieve the positive and predictable healed results that we strive for.

Q: Can I have Lip Blushing done if I have filler?
A: Yes, you can! You just want to ensure you put 6 weeks between your filler and both tattoo appointments.
