we believe change happens when people put care into action.

at inkvictus, impact isn’t an afterthought — it’s part of how we show up. from pay-what-you-can tattoos to pushing for better laws, our goal is simple: make tattooing safer, more accessible, and more human.

every step we take is about leaving things better than we found them, whether that’s supporting our community, standing up for artists, or making space for those who need it most.

see how we’re putting that into practice below.

tattoos for everyone. always.

PWYC Flash Tattoos

tattoos can bring healing, confidence, and connection — but not everyone has access. our pay-what-you-can program helps change that, keeping tattoos within reach for the people who need them most.

here’s how it works:

  • pay what you can, no questions asked

  • priority for those facing financial or social barriers

  • flash designs only, walk-in, first come first served

this isn’t just about ink — it’s about making sure no one is left out of the chance to feel seen, celebrated, and empowered. at inkvictus, we believe tattoos should be for everyone. no exceptions.

Enter the Pay-It-Forward Program

The Pay-It-Forward Program builds on PWYC Tattoos, allowing clients and community members to join in creating a culture of generosity and support.

Contribute to the Fund: Donations go directly toward covering tattoos for those who otherwise couldn’t afford them.
Support for Artists: The fund also protects our team, ensuring they’re compensated for their time even when appointments fall through.

Expand Accessibility: Every contribution helps someone new experience the life-changing power of a tattoo.

We've always been committed to turning barriers into bridges. This program isn’t just about tattoos—it’s about creating a ripple effect of kindness that touches everyone involved. When art and compassion meet, real change happens, and we’re proud to be a part of that movement.

Restorative Areola Tattoos—Free, Always

each week, we offer one areola tattoo at no cost for anyone healing from top surgery, mastectomy, breast reconstruction, or gender-affirming care.

we feel lucky to do this work. for many, it’s the final step in a long journey. for others, it’s a way to feel a little more at home in their body. either way, we treat it with the care and attention it deserves.

we limit these appointments to one per week so we can give them the time they need. every session begins with a consultation to make sure the timing is right and that we’re a good fit.

if this is something you or someone you love might need, you’re welcome to reach out through our contact form, here.

impact to us isn’t just about tattoos — it’s about caring for people in all the ways we can. that’s why we’re proud to sponsor gifting joy, a nonprofit founded by alex ahnazar that delivers care packages and reminders of comfort to patients and families in the middle of their hardest days.

from soft blankets and nourishing snacks to handwritten notes, gifting joy creates moments that say “you’re not alone.” through our support, alex and her team can reach more people with that message of love and connection.

how you can help:

  • donate to gifting joy to spread comfort

  • volunteer your time to join the movement

  • share their story so more people know they’re not forgotten

together, small gestures become something bigger.

Spreading Comfort: Gifting Joy

Fighting for Freedom, Justice, and Equality

tattoos have always been about expression — and we believe they can also be about action. that’s why we partner with the aclu of north carolina, standing alongside their fight for justice, equality, and civil rights.

each year, we create special tattoo designs inspired by this mission. every piece is a symbol of solidarity and hope, with proceeds going directly to support the aclu’s work in protecting marginalized communities.

ways to stand with us:

  • choose a flash tattoo from our aclu sheet

  • donate directly to the aclu of nc

  • share their mission so more voices are heard

together, we can help build a future that feels safe and fair for everyone.

Fixing Tattoo and Piercing Laws for Good

tattooing deserves better. right now, anyone can pick up a machine or a needle and call themselves an artist — with no real training, no standards, and no protections for the people getting tattooed. it puts clients at risk and leaves artists who care about doing things the right way fighting against a broken system.

we believe it’s time for change. that’s why we’ve written to legislators, spoken with decision-makers, and even partnered with local news to bring awareness to the need for safer, smarter laws.

here’s what we’re fighting for:

  • safety standards that protect both clients and artists

  • real education and training for anyone entering this craft

  • a framework where ethical practices are the norm, not the exception

together, we can create a future where tattooing is safe, ethical, and empowering — for the people getting them and the people creating them.

we’ve taken big steps toward change, but this is just the beginning. pushing for better tattoo laws, making access possible, and showing up for people who need it most—it isn’t extra for us, it’s who we are.

none of it happens without you. whether you’re signing a petition, sharing the message, or simply standing with us in spirit, your support matters more than you know.

this is bigger than tattooing, it’s about creating a future that feels safer, kinder, and more connected.
