At Inkvictus Studios, we've made a conscious decision not to offer microblading because we don't believe it's the best option for our clients. After seeing the long-term results, we're committed to providing services that prioritize skin health + long-lasting beauty.

We meticulously map out your brows, taking into account your unique bone structure, muscle activity, nose and eye placement, and more!

Typically, we like to keep most of your natural brow hair to help us map out your brows. This not only gives a more authentic result but also means less upkeep for you afterward. We'll always check, but it's totally up to you whether you want us to tidy up any stray hairs outside the mapped brow area during your appointment.

Microblading involves the use of a handheld tool with tiny needles to slice into the skin, with the aim to create a hair stroke appearance. Pigment is then rubbed into these incisions. In contrast, Powder Brows utilize a gentle machine technique with a needle to puncture the skin and create a soft powder of coverage.
In tattooing, preserving skin integrity should always be the top priority. This commitment is why we made the decision to stop the abrasive technique of microblading years ago.
Powder Brows are a semi-permanent cosmetic enhancement that is used to fill, shade, + improve the appearance of brows. Much like a gradient of brow makeup, powder brows create a more defined look. We create the desirable finish with a sterile tattooing technique that is less abrasive on the skin and heals quickly and more predictably compared to the Microblading method
To produce the powdered effect, we apply tiny dots of pigment into the skin, creating a soft blend that mimics the gradual tones of brow makeup. We have a wide range of pigments, and can utilize an array of blending techniques to create a subtle, bold, or mixed brow based on your unique needs

Powder brows + microblading differ in several ways, including application technique, final appearance, skin type suitability, and the aftercare process.
Application: Microblading uses a handheld tool with needles to cut hair-like striations into the skin. These cuts are then filled with pigment, which produces a hair-like appearance. Alternatively, we utilize a gentle tattoo machine that deposits pigment directly into the skin. Our clean and safe process causes less trauma to the skin, both accelerating healing times and reducing the risk of infection.
Appearance: The longer strokes of microblading produce a thin, hair-like appearance that is less defined than powder brows. Powder brows are generally fuller looking, with a soft, blended look that closely replicates the smooth and powdery gradient of high-quality make-up.
Suitability: Overall, powder brows are more suitable for all skin types, including oily and sensitive skin, as the shading technique and color adherence are more consistent across the entirety of the enhancement. In contrast, microblading can result in premature color fading and blurring, especially when applied to oily skin types.
