Let's discuss your goals and go over our process! We want to make sure we're on the same page throughout the entire service!
This step is only done if needed, you may or may not be mapped during your actual session.
We will begin tattooing within your lip skin. We can not cross your vermillion border.
A secondary numbing will be applied to the lips if it is needed.
Before you book your complimentary touch-up and head out the door, we provide an aftercare kit and go over all necessary steps to best guarantee optimal healed results.
We are only allowed to tattoo within the vermillion border of the lips. This is where your lip skin meets your face skin. If we were to cross over the border into your face skin, the healed results would not remain crisp. Think: smudged lipstick, but permanent. However, pulling a lip color to the vermillion border can create the appearance of a fuller lip because a lot of the time, your lip color dissipates before it actually reaches the border.
We always want the most natural look, so we base colors off of what your natural lip colors are. The goal at the end of the session is to have enhanced/ brightened/ shifted the color to appear more noticeable and defined.
Honestly, either is fine. It's just important that there is a full 6 weeks between each service. We recommend that if you get lip blushing first, please wait 6 weeks after your touch-up appointment before booking lip filler.
You can 100% be tattooed even if you're prone to cold sores, but it is incredibly crucial that you take a medication, like Valtrex, 5 days prior and 5 days after to ensure no outbreak occurs. A cold sore outbreak can result in uneven or minimal retention. You really want to protect your new tattoo as it heals!
